Thanks, Debra...Yeah, it's hard right now. Especially since I live in Oakland, and my mom was in Tacoma, Washington, near where I grew up. Being 700+ miles away makes just adds to all the stuff to be done now. It's not like being a 20-minute drive away. Luckily, my brother lives close to buy mom's house...and I can just let him deal with everything...
Actually, I've been beating a trail up and down the West Coast at least once a month for two years now, or since my mom got diagnosed with ovarian cancer. And I know I'm going to continue racking up points on Southwest Airlines for some time to come as my brother and I go through our mom's house and determine whether or not to keep nine jars of mayonnaise in her kitchen cupboard....

My kids are going to be scratching their heads some day when I pass. And I will be giggling on the other side.
