Don’t get me wrong. I love both of my daughters.
But, as any parent of teenagers knows…Teenagers are physically incapable doing some things. And, in the case of my 14-year-old daughter, one of the things that she absolutely won’t/doesn’t/can’t do is keep her bedroom clean.
I honestly marvel at how she is able to discern clean clothes from dirty ones. I mean, I am certainly that 96% of the stuff on her bedroom floor is just stuff I folded up, put on her bed and…was shoved directly onto the carpet because another thing the kid appears incapable of is actually putting away her laundry.
I’ve said many times that I don’t know if my 14-year-old will got to college, but she has mastered the housekeeping skills of your typical college student. Which means she has none. And, I present as evidence, and without any additional comment, this video which shows the state of her bedroom here on Friday, May 16, 2025.
As worried as the place looks, don’t worry about me. I’m pretty sure I made it in and out of the room without picking up any life-threatening sickness. But, just to be safe, I did get a tetanus shot earlier this week…
